Job Posting — Petition Signature Collector (Contract)
Temporary / Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | OR-6 Region
$18.00/hour + $0.75 per verified valid signature
Jason Faler for Congress is hiring signature collectors to help an independent candidate for Oregon’s 6th Congressional District earn ballot access. We need 3,532 hand-signed petitions from registered OR-6 voters by late July 2026. This is meaningful civic work — you’re directly helping voters have a real choice on their ballot.
What You’ll Do
Approach registered voters in OR-6 communities, explain the petition, witness each signature in person, and certify completed sheets according to Oregon election law. You’ll work assigned areas across Polk, Yamhill, Marion, Clackamas, and Washington counties at times that fit your schedule.
Main focus areas: Salem, Keizer, Woodburn, Wilsonville, Tualatin, McMinnville, Newberg, Sherwood, and Tigard
Pay
- $18.00/hour (guaranteed, regardless of signature count)
- $0.75 bonus per verified valid signature
- Experienced circulators can realistically earn $25–$30+/hour
Schedule
Flexible — set your own hours. Weekdays, weekends, and evenings all work. Signatures must be collected through late July 2026.
Requirements
- Must be able to register with the Oregon Elections Division as a paid circulator (we’ll walk you through the process)
- Must pass an Oregon State Police criminal background check
- Must complete the Oregon Secretary of State Circulator Training Program (we provide this)
- No convictions for fraud, forgery, or identity theft in the last 5 years
- Reliable transportation to canvass OR-6 communities
- Attention to detail — signatures collected incorrectly cannot be counted
You Do Not Need To Be:
- An Oregon resident
- A registered voter
- Affiliated with any political party
